Perth Photomarket This Sunday
It’s that time again, the iconic Perth PhotoMarket and camera swapmeet is on again this Sunday, 24th July 2022. The Workshop Camera Club has been running this event about 4 times a year for 25 years now, I have been going along on and off for most of them!
Back in the old film days
They started off with film gear, darkroom equipment and various old and new photographic paraphernalia, usually at bargain prices. Now you can still get all that hard to find film equipment, but you will also find loads of recent model digital gear and computer bits n pieces, still (mostly) at bargain prices.
Come along for the atmosphere
Over the years I have bought and sold a large part of my camera gear there, but many times I just go along for the great atmosphere and to catch up with all the old familiar friends I haven’t seen, well, since the last swapmeet. There is always a cake and sandwich stall, and you can grab a cup of tea or coffee and wander around looking at all the toys.

Doors open at 7.30am for sellers, buyers (or just gazers) at 8.30am. Admission is just $5.00, or if you fancy, you can rent a sales table for just $20, and there is no commission or anything like that. It’s not often these days you see a bargain like that.
