How to turn great images into great prints
The Mystery explained! Why don't my images print the way they look on the screen?
If you have ever asked this question, or perhaps not even dared the step to prompt you to ask this quetion, then this is the workshop for you.
This workshop will be run in 2 stages, the first is a one day classroom based introductory session, designed to get you up to speed on all the fundamental concepts, the stuff you NEED to know if you want to be able to make great prints every time. it will be interesting and informative, with all the right information, delivered in an clear and understandable manner that won't put you to sleep!
The second part of the workshop is where the adventure begins. It will be run over a weekend in a great location (we'll tell you this later) outside of Perth, where there will be plenty of opportunity for shooting new images in the magic hours of dawn and dusk, and then you'll have the chance for the hands on experience of printing your own images with one of the latest model professional printers.
Greg and Adam will guide you through the process step by step, clarifying the technical complexity, and teaching you the tricks and the secrets to making perfect prints, every time. The workshop is suitable for all levels of photographers wishing to gain a better understanding of creative photoshop techniques, printing workflow, printers, print media and fine art presentation.
Topics covered will include:
-Complete colour management, from Monitor calibration, working colour spaces & Image profiling to
specialised paper profiling.
-RAW image conversion, making the most out of your image capture.
-Photoshop tweeking techniques, visualising your finished image and making it happen.
-Image finishing, sharpening techniques & Soft Proofing.
-Final print output on one of the latest photographic printers
It will be an informal workshop environment, allowing you to learn at your own speed and from your own level. It will be hands on, with opportunities to experience and practise some of the latest photoshop and image software skills, including preparing and printing your own images.
